Max Almenas co-founded the Fort Lee Adult CO-ED Softball League in 2021 after a local senior resident asked if someone would create an adult softball league in Fort Lee, NJ. After successfully organizing Fort Lee's first 5K event the three years prior, raising funds and awareness for pediatric cancer, Max was ready for a new challenge. With a bit of help from a friend, he built a website and found local business sponsors to fund the softball jerseys. After a long hibernation due to the COVID-19 pandemic, business owners were ready to welcome back customers, and local residents were ready to have fun outdoors again. Since its inception, the league has also raised funds for fire, cancer, and war victims, When he's not attempting to mimic his grandfather, Antonio "Tonito" Martinez, a former professional baseball player from the Dominican Republic, Max Almenas making his best plays as the marketing manager for Catholic Cemeteries of the Archdiocese of Newark.
